For G-d had made Abraham the father of converts <sup>2<\/sup>, telling him that \u201call the families of the earth will be blessed through\u201d him (Genesis 12:3).<\/p>\n<p>If they don\u2019t try to do that, though, then they\u2019ll just naturally stay aligned with their root nation.<\/p>\n<p>Footnotes:<\/p>\n<p><sup>1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/sup>Thus, becoming a Jew comes down to leaving one&#8217;s own people and attaching onto the Jewish people (rather than only onto the Jewish religion).
