Ramchal says in his comments to Petach<\/em> 32 that \u201cif you examine the matter carefully you\u2019ll find that (Divine) governance is sequestered in the heart and in the rest of the (i.e., of Adam<\/em> Kadmon<\/em>\u2019s) body, and is (only) revealed in Adam Kadmon<\/em>\u2019s face\u2019s \u2026 apertures\u201d. That\u2019s to say that just as our private thoughts and plans are sequestered within our beings, God\u2019s thoughts and plans for the universe are sequestered within Adam Kadmon<\/em>, since it\u2019s so close to His very presence. They do<\/em> manifest themselves, though, through Adam Kadmon<\/em>\u2019s \u201ceyes\u201d, \u201cears\u201d, and the like. Those thoughts and plans are termed Adam Kadmon<\/em>\u2019s \u201cradiance\u201d — the subtle indications of His personal reflections.<\/p>\n

He goes on to say there that it\u2019s this \u201cradiance\u201d – this inner luster — especially which \u201cwe\u2019re concerned with in our studies of the Kabbalah. For, it\u2019s the Light that reaches us, and it\u2019s the only Light that we\u2019re actually able to apprehend (to one degree or another). Whatever is more internal (i.e., more deeply thought and felt) is too elevated for us to know.\u201d Hence, God communicates with us through the radiance that shines outward from Adam<\/em> Kadmon<\/em>\u2019s inner being, and it behooves us to study Kabbalah in order to understand as much of His message as we can.<\/p>\n

It goes without saying, though, that there\u2019s a lot we simply cannot grasp.<\/p>\n
