Ramchal set up Klach<\/em> to be a series of 138 \u201cMishanyot<\/em>\u201d or core statements for which he provided \u201cGemarot<\/em>\u201d or explanations. We will be translating all 138 Mishanyot<\/em> and only draw upon his Gemarot <\/em>(as well as other statements of his and of others).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The first four comprise the book\u2019s first section which is entitled \u201cOn the Revelation of God\u2019s Yichud<\/em> and His Beneficence\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Infinite One\u2019s<\/strong> <\/strong>Yichud\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <\/strong>implies that only His will functions<\/strong> <\/strong>(fully) <\/strong>and that no other will functions other than through it. Hence, He alone reigns<\/strong> <\/strong>(supreme) <\/strong>and no other<\/strong> <\/strong>(being\u2019s) <\/strong>will does. The entire structure is erected upon this foundation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Emanator wants only<\/strong> <\/strong>(to do) <\/strong>good, so nothing but<\/strong> <\/strong>(manifestations of) <\/strong>His goodness exists. Hence, whatever is initially wrongful<\/strong> <\/strong>(by all appearances) <\/strong>does not emanate from another sphere of influence that could oppose Him (as we might think) — God forbid; instead it will undoubtedly<\/strong> <\/strong>(prove to be) <\/strong>good in the end. And<\/strong> <\/strong>(thanks to that) <\/strong>it will be known that there\u2019s no sphere of influence apart from Him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Infinite One wanted to express utter and complete<\/strong> <\/strong>benevolence<\/strong> <\/em>in such a way that its recipients wouldn\u2019t be ashamed to accept it. So He set out to<\/strong> <\/strong>(eventually)\u00a0reveal His<\/strong> <\/strong>Yichud<\/em>,<\/strong> <\/strong>(and to thus show) <\/strong>that He has neither deterrents nor defects.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There\u2019s obviously a lot being said here, which we\u2019ll get to piece by piece. Next time, though, we\u2019ll offer the major themes being touched on in this very important section.<\/p>\n
