This last aspect — the fact that God is utterly in control of everything — is addressed in this section of Klach<\/em> as well, as when Ramchal says right at the beginning of Petach<\/em> 1 that \u201cThe Infinite One\u2019s<\/strong> <\/strong>Yichud\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <\/strong>implies that only His will functions<\/strong> <\/strong>(fully) <\/strong>and that no other will functions other than through it. Hence, He alone reigns<\/strong> <\/strong>(supreme) <\/strong>and no other<\/strong> <\/strong>(being\u2019s) <\/strong>will does<\/strong>\u201d, and when he points out in his comments there that \u201ceverything that we see<\/em>\u201d and experience \u201chas but one Lord<\/em>\u201d, God Almighty; that He \u201calone carries everything out, and controls everything<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

So there are two aspects of God\u2019s Yichud<\/em> — which we\u2019d define as His \u201cuniqueness\u201d in these contexts: first, His being the only entity who simply must exist if anything else is to; and second, His being utterly in control of everything.<\/p>\n

But there\u2019s a third and rather arcane aspect to God\u2019s Yichud<\/em> as well which Ramchal alludes to at the very end of this section where he says that in the end \u201cGod\u2019s<\/strong> <\/strong>Yichud<\/em><\/strong> <\/strong>will thus be revealed,<\/strong> <\/strong>(the experience of) which will in fact be the delight of the souls<\/strong>. As we\u2019ll see, this alludes to another definition of Yichud<\/em>, utter \u201coneness\u201d, but not in terms of His being the only God.<\/p>\n

He referred\u00a0to this elsewhere when he said that \u201cGod wants to reveal His Yichud<\/em> and to thus show that \u2018I (God) am first, yea I am last\u2019 (Isaiah 48:12), that \u2026 all curses will be turned into blessings and all wrong will return to right\u201d [1]. Let\u2019s follow this trend of thought.<\/p>\n
