It is <\/strong>in fact<strong> the <em>Malchut<\/em> of <\/strong>the world of <strong><em>Adam<\/em> <em>Kadmon<\/em>. <\/strong>Let\u2019s explain all of that.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that there are five worlds, in descending order:<\/p>\n<p><em>Adam Kadmon<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Atzilut<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Briah<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Yetzirah<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ari pointed out in a number of places that these are the names of the <em>Partzufim<\/em>, in descending order:<\/p>\n<p><em>Radlah<\/em> (i.e., <em>Reishah<\/em> <em>d\u2019La<\/em> <em>Isyadah<\/em> &#8212; The Unknowable Source)<\/p>\n<p><em>Attik<\/em> (also known as <em>Attik<\/em> <em>Yomin<\/em>) and <em>Nukveh<\/em> d\u2019 (the feminine aspect of) <em>Attik<\/em> <em>Yomin<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><em>Erich<\/em> <em>Anpin<\/em> and <em>Nukveh<\/em> d\u2019 <em>Erich<\/em> <em>Anpin<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Abba<\/em> <em>Ilah<\/em> (the Higher)<\/p>\n<p><em>Yisrael<\/em> <em>Sabah<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Abba<\/em> and <em>Imma<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Tevunah<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Zaire Anpin<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Yisrael<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Yaakov<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Nukveh<\/em> d\u2019<em>Zaire Anpin<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Leah<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Rochel<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So, the statement that <strong><em>Attik<\/em><\/strong><strong> is the first <em>Partzuf<\/em> attributed to <\/strong>the world of <strong><em>Atzilut<\/em> <\/strong>means that even though <em>Attik<\/em> functions as the<strong> <em>Malchut<\/em> <\/strong>or lowest level <strong>of <\/strong>the world of <strong><em>Adam<\/em> <em>Kadmon<\/em><\/strong>, it nonetheless also functions as the highest <em>Partzuf<\/em> of the next lower world of <em>Atzilut<\/em>.
