{"id":1878,"date":"2014-07-07T13:43:51","date_gmt":"2014-07-07T17:43:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ramchal.wordpress.com\/?p=1878"},"modified":"2014-07-07T13:43:51","modified_gmt":"2014-07-07T17:43:51","slug":"attik-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rabbiyaakovfeldman.aishdas.org\/ramchal\/2014\/07\/07\/attik-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Attik (6)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Petach\u00a0<\/em>75 relates that like the other <em>Partzufim<\/em> beneath it, <strong>the <em>Partzuf<\/em> of <em>Attik<\/em> is <\/strong>likewise <strong>comprised of a <em>MaH<\/em> and a <em>BaN<\/em>, which are its \u201cmale\u201d and \u201cfemale\u201d aspects. <\/strong>But\u00a0 unlike the lower instances of <em>MaH<\/em> and <em>BaN<\/em>, <strong>they<\/strong>, i.e., those of <em>Attik<\/em>,<strong> literally function as a single entity and as one body, such that it is impossible to assign either<\/strong> <strong>a <\/strong>separate and independent <strong>place, and to call one \u201cright\u201d and the other \u201cleft\u201d. Rather, they\u2019re literally joined together as a single entity that\u2018s comprised of a single body<\/strong> [1]<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What that means to say, in short, is that unlike the \u201cmale\u201d and \u201cfemale\u201d of the lower <em>Partzufim<\/em> (i.e., <em>Erich<\/em> <em>Anpin<\/em>, <em>Abba<\/em> and <em>Imma<\/em>, etc.), the \u201cmale\u201d and \u201cfemale\u201d aspects of <em>Attik<\/em> are of the order spoken of in the verse that reads, \u201cmale and female He created them\u201d (Genesis 1:27), which alludes to the fact that Adam\/Eve was originally a hermaphrodite (<em>Breishit<\/em> <em>Rabbah<\/em> 8:1) &#8212; male and female at one at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>The point here is that that state was the prototype and it remains the ideal, so the closer to the Source a <em>Partzuf<\/em> is the more this holds true.
