Ramchal is concerned here with Ari\u2019s statement to the effect that there are certain <em>contradictory<\/em> things going on at the very same time in <em>Radlah<\/em> (<em>Eitz<\/em> <em>Chaim<\/em> 12:3, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>His point about them is that while there\u2019s no doubt that certain things one would \u201csee\u201d there <em>appear<\/em> to contradict one another, but that\u2019s only because we really can\u2019t catch sight of them for sure, as they quickly move about and do things that seem to contradict each other (moving about in the mode of \u201crunning and returning\u201d (Ezekiel 1: 14) as we\u2019ll see in <em>Petach<\/em> 87), as Ramchal explains in his own comments here [1].<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how Ramchal explains it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All of the possible combinations of <em>MaH<\/em> and <em>BaN<\/em> did indeed occur <\/strong>in <em>Radlah<\/em><strong>, and the primary order of covert governance <\/strong>indeed <strong>occurred thanks to those combinations.\u00a0 <\/strong>But know that <strong>there are contradictory ways of combining <\/strong><em>MaH<\/em> and <em>BaN<\/em><strong>, and each occurs <\/strong>within <em>Radlah<\/em> <strong>since<\/strong> <strong>that\u2019s the way <em>Partzufim<\/em> are combined and because each produces specific <\/strong>and necessary<strong> qualities in <em>Partzufim<\/em>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Footnote:<\/p>\n<p>[1]\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Much like the way that the Aron HaKodesh seemed not to take up any space in the Holy of Holies, even though it was certainly a physical entity (Yoma 21a); or the way our emotions seem to contradict themselves as when we\u2019re happy on one level yet sad on another; or the way light can be either a particle or a wave on a subatomic level, as R\u2019 Menachem Makover offers in his commentary to <em>Klach<\/em> at this point.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(c) 2015 Rabbi Yaakov Feldman<br \/>\nFeel free to contact me at <a href=\"mailto:feldman@torah.org\">feldman@torah.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>AT LONG LAST!
