{"id":2150,"date":"2015-10-20T09:15:15","date_gmt":"2015-10-20T13:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ramchal.wordpress.com\/?p=2150"},"modified":"2015-10-20T09:15:15","modified_gmt":"2015-10-20T13:15:15","slug":"three-things-about-zeir-anpin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rabbiyaakovfeldman.aishdas.org\/ramchal\/2015\/10\/20\/three-things-about-zeir-anpin\/","title":{"rendered":"Three things about Zeir Anpin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s the text of the end of <em>Petach 95 <\/em>again, and its explanations.<\/p>\n<p>We must <strong>next <\/strong>understand that<strong> when it comes to <em>Erich<\/em> <em>Anpin<\/em><\/strong> <strong>as the root <\/strong>rather than the generator<strong> of <em>Zeir<\/em> <em>Anpin<\/em> <\/strong>spoken of below <strong>and the mystical implications of its governance, we&#8217;re only to consider <em>Erich<\/em>&#8216;s &#8220;skull&#8221; and &#8220;brain&#8221; <\/strong>which are cited in <em>Iddrah<\/em> <em>Rabbah<\/em> (122b). <strong>And <\/strong>we&#8217;re to consider <strong>their <em>Tikkunim<\/em> <\/strong>which are the other, non-governing elements like the &#8220;hairs&#8221;, the &#8220;nose&#8221;, and the like which the <em>Iddrah<\/em> <em>Rabbah<\/em>\u00a0 cites there, <strong>according to their functions in the mystical idea of the overpowering of <em>Erich<\/em>&#8216;s<\/strong> <strong><em>Chessed<\/em>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <em>Iddrah<\/em> <em>Zuta<\/em> (288a), on the other hand, cites <em>three<\/em> governing element and doesn&#8217;t elucidate much about the aforementioned <em>Tikkunim<\/em>.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Thus were told that <strong>when it comes to the mystical idea of <em>Erich<\/em> generating <em>Zeir<\/em> <em>Anpin<\/em> <\/strong>rather than being its root spoken of above <strong>we&#8217;re to consider <em>Erich<\/em>&#8216;s &#8220;three heads&#8221;, i.e., its &#8220;crown&#8221;, &#8220;cavity&#8221;, and &#8220;brain&#8221; and their <em>Tikkunim<\/em> which generate <em>Tikkunim<\/em> in <em>Zeir<\/em> <em>Anpin<\/em>. <\/strong>&#8220;Crown&#8221;, &#8220;cavity&#8221;, and &#8220;brain&#8221; allude to the left, right, and middle aspects of <em>Zeir<\/em>, which are an admixture of the thesis and antithesis of <em>Chessed<\/em> and <em>Gevurah<\/em> along with their synthesis of <em>Rachamim<\/em>. That&#8217;s in contrast to the <em>Erich<\/em>&#8216;s exclusively <em>Chessed<\/em>-based form of governance.<\/p>\n<p>As to the terms &#8220;Skull&#8221;, &#8220;Brain&#8221;, &#8220;Crown&#8221;, and &#8220;Cavity&#8221;, which are found in the Zohar and in Ari&#8217;s writings, they&#8217;re openly and decidedly anthropomorphic. Each element refers to things in <em>Adam<\/em> <em>Kadmon<\/em> that don&#8217;t affect us now.
