Recall that Ramchal introduced the Sephirot<\/em> here with the statement that \u201ceach Sephira<\/em> is an attribute <\/strong>(or \u201ccapacity\u201d) of The Infinite <\/em>that He used to create the <\/strong>(various esoteric and concrete) worlds\u201d<\/strong>. But he then added that they\u2019re the mechanisms \u201cwhich He<\/strong> (now) uses to govern them<\/strong>\u201d (Petach<\/em> 6). So while we\u2019ll necessarily be spending a lot of time on the creation process, as Kabbalists do, we\u2019ll also spend a fair amount of time on the \u201cmore recent past\u201d if you will, since creation, as well as on the present and future as God continues His governance.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll first need to see how others who preceded Ramchal depicted the Sephirot<\/em> and how his depiction differs. And we\u2019d need to explore the role that angels<\/em> play in this, as it\u2019s commonly assumed that they\u2019re God\u2019s agents of governance, as well as the role of the constellations.<\/p>\n
