<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s sum-up what Ramchal offers about the Sephirot<\/em> in this section. He depicts them here as emanations or illuminations<\/strong> and attributes <\/strong>of God\u2019s will <\/strong>that <\/strong>suddenly and purposely came into play when He wanted them so as to create the <\/strong>various esoteric and concrete worlds<\/strong>, <\/strong>and which He<\/strong> now uses to govern them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

And he offers that unlike God\u2019s own simple light <\/strong>or presence which is utterly unfathomable, and in contrast to certain other extraordinarily sublime phenomena that also don\u2019t share this trait, these illuminations were <\/strong>each allowed to be \u201cenvisioned\u201d<\/strong> as a single, mystical \u201cillumination\u201d<\/strong> by prophets and other exalted souls [1]. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sephirot<\/em> were granted that capacity, we\u2019re told, for our<\/em> sakes alone — so we might understand <\/strong>each attribute itself <\/strong>as well as understand what would be taking place in the governing process <\/strong>\u201cdown here, on earth\u201d through that attribute <\/strong>\u201cup there, in the heavens\u201d at that time.<\/strong><\/p>\n
