There are a number of things we\u2019ll want to touch upon before we go on to learn more about the images that the Sephirot<\/em>, which God used to create the various worlds and continues to use to govern them, are said to assume.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re taught in this section, for example, that every action that God brings about occurs through the Sephirot <\/em><\/strong>(Petach<\/em> 10), that it\u2019s the Sephira<\/em> of Malchut <\/em><\/strong>specifically <\/strong><\/em>that<\/em> <\/strong><\/em>is the root of the lower realms <\/strong>(Petach<\/em> 11) and is also the means by which individuals can \u201cascend\u201d or \u201creceive\u201d<\/strong> <\/strong><\/em>(Petach 11)<\/em>. <\/strong>So let\u2019s see what precedes the appearance of the Sephirot<\/em> for one thing, learn about their arrangement, and delve into Malchut<\/em> itself.<\/p>\n

As we know, the Torah reports that God created the world in seven days; but there\u2019s a background story as well we learn, which is only alluded<\/em> to in the Torah, and exceedingly subtly at that. Let\u2019s briefly examine Ramak\u2019s, Ari\u2019s, and Ramchal\u2019s insights into this.<\/p>\n
