There have been three main areas of concentration among the earlier and later Kabbalists: the Sephirot<\/em>, the Partzufim<\/em>, and the Names of God. Ramchal has been concentrating upon the Sephirot<\/em> until now and will continue to do so here in this section, but he\u2019ll also begin to discuss the Partzufim <\/em>in <\/em>this section\u2019s final Petach<\/em>, and will then begin to concentrate upon the names of God in the next section.<\/p>\n

And so we\u2019ll delve here into the structure of the<\/strong> <\/strong>Sephirot<\/strong><\/em> <\/strong> including a<\/strong> <\/strong>discussion<\/strong> <\/strong>of<\/strong> the makeup of the structure and its gradations, the makeup of the gradations themselves, and the makeup of their parts, properties, and of their interactions <\/strong>(Petach<\/em> 14).<\/strong> <\/strong>We won\u2019t be discussing the first Sephira<\/em>, Keter<\/em>, which is rooted in the Divine Will <\/strong>itself, but we will be delving into whatever come after that<\/strong>, from Chochma<\/em> and onward including the gradations <\/strong>and about how they function in the governance of the universe <\/strong>(Petach<\/em> 15). <\/strong>We\u2019ll focus first on the \u201cforward\u201d and \u201cbackward\u201d <\/strong>movements of the Sephirot, from Keter<\/em> to Malchut<\/em> and back again, with some emphasis on the implications of all that (Petach<\/em> 16). Then we\u2019ll introduce the Partzufim<\/em>, each of which is a full, detailed expression of <\/strong>the <\/strong>Sephirot <\/em>(Petach 17<\/em>).<\/p>\n

And we\u2019ll also spend some time discussing the yetzer harah<\/em> and the\u00a0yetzer hatov<\/em>, reward and punishment, and creation by gradation.<\/p>\n
