The Kabbalists pointed out that most of the letters of the Tetragrammaton (\u05d9-\u05d4-\u05d5-\u05d4) can be spelled out in various ways. While the letter \u05d9 is only spelled out as \u05d9\u05d5”\u05d3, the letter \u05d4 can be spelled out as either \u05d4”\u05d9, as \u05d4”\u05d4, or as \u05d4”\u05d0 ; while the letter \u05d5 could be spelled out as \u05d5\u05d9”\u05d5, as \u05d5\u05d0”\u05d5, or as \u05d5”\u05d5 . In modern terms, that implies that the elements that go into the basic structure of everything can be further divided into different sub-elements, thus affecting the final outcomes in subtle or broad ways. They thus derived that there are four combinations in all: the aforementioned AV<\/em>, SaG<\/em>, MaH<\/em>, and BaN<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The name AV<\/em> refers to the letters \u05e2 and \u05d1, which are written \u05e2”\u05d1 in combination (hence \u201cAV\u201d) and have the numerical value of 72. It represents the Tetragrammaton written out as follows: \u00a0\u05d9\u05d5”\u05d3 \u05d4”\u05d9 \u05d5\u05d9”\u05d5 \u05d4”\u05d9 \u05d9-\u05d4-\u05d5-\u05d4 which has that numerical value.<\/p>\n

The name SaG<\/em> refers to the letters \u05e1 and \u05d2, which are written \u05e1”\u05d2 in combination (hence \u201cSaG\u201d) and have the numerical value of 63. It represents the Tetragrammaton written out as follows: \u00a0\u05d9\u05d5”\u05d3 \u05d4”\u05d9 \u05d5\u05d0”\u05d5 \u05d4”\u05d9 which has that numerical value.<\/p>\n

The name MaH<\/em> refers to the letters \u05de and \u05d4, which are written \u00a0\u00a0\u05de”\u05d4 in combination (hence \u201cMaH\u201d) and have the numerical value of 45. It represents the Tetragrammaton written out as follows:\u00a0 \u05d9\u05d5”\u05d3 \u05d4”\u05d0 \u05d5\u05d0”\u05d5 \u05d4”\u05d0 which has that numerical value.<\/p>\n

And the name BaN<\/em> refers to the letters \u05d1and \u05df, which are written \u05d1”\u05df in combination (hence \u201cBaN\u201d) and have the numerical value of 52. It represents the Tetragrammaton written out as follows: \u00a0\u05d9\u05d5”\u05d3 \u05d4”\u05d4 \u05d5”\u05d5 \u05d4”\u05d4 which has that numerical value.<\/p>\n
