The complex relationship between the three elements is expanded upon by the statement in Petach<\/em> 28 that the line of<\/strong> Ein<\/em><\/strong> Sof<\/em> which entered into the<\/strong> trace is sequestered within it on every level, and is said to govern it<\/strong> the way the soul governs the body (as Ramchal pointed out in his comments to Petach<\/em> 27). But it<\/strong> also stands outside of the trace and encompasses it, and is said to incorporate its abilities and to observe it from every angle <\/strong>and to thus govern it from within and without.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>And Ramchal also offers there in explanation the statement that \u201cThe concealment of the line within the trace touches upon \u201cthe two sorts of Divine governance we\u2019d discussed earlier: governance according to (the system of) good and evil, and governance according to (the system of) Divine sovereignty\u201d. It implies that the mode of governance according to Divine sovereignty, represented by the line, \u201cis concealed within the manifest mode of governance according to (the system of) good and evil\u201d, represented by the trace. Thus we learn that God\u2019s own \u201cencompassing light is the cause of \u2026 the trace. That encompassing light represents the ultimate revelation while the \u2026 trace encompasses the root of man’s (Divine) service thanks to which we are able to attain the revelation (of God\u2019s light), which is the (ultimate) reward.\u201d<\/p>\n

That implies, of course, that the ultimate revelation of God’s\u00a0sovereignty will “win the day”, if you will, in the end and will\u00a0supersede\u00a0the world of relativity and\u00a0wrongfulness\u00a0that is our own, as we indicated.<\/p>\n

But Ramchal then adds another element to all this in Petach<\/em> 28: the fact that all of this<\/strong> — i.e., the line\u2019s interactions with the trace– is <\/strong>(done) only in such a way that the line accommodates itself to <\/strong>the makeup and needs of the trace <\/strong>and everything connected with it. <\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll touch on that next.<\/p>\n
