And they\u2019re said to be two different perspectives of the same phenomenon, where the <strong>\u201ccircle\u201d <\/strong>or <em>iggulim <\/em>depiction of <em>Adam <\/em>Kadmon <strong>refers to a circular mode of <\/strong>Divine <strong>governance <\/strong>\u2026 which is to say, an <strong>overall providence, <\/strong>while a <strong>\u201cstraight line\u201d <\/strong>or <em>yosher <\/em>depiction of <em>Adam<\/em> <em>Kadmon<\/em><strong> \u2026 indicates a detailed mode of governance <\/strong>(<em>Petach<\/em> 13)<strong>. <\/strong>That\u2019s to say (according to the thrust of Ramchal\u2019s own comments there) that the <em>yosher<\/em> construct alludes to God\u2019s governance of the universe in response to our ethical and spiritual input, while the <em>iggulim <\/em>depiction alludes to His more supernal Self-driven governance that functions despite us.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Why then do we largely disregard the <em>iggulim<\/em> depiction? It has been said that\u2019s because it alludes to things beyond us whereas the <em>yosher<\/em> depiction speaks to our situation and our <em>raison d\u2019\u00eatre<\/em> which is rooted in our ethical and spiritual betterment [1].<\/p>\n<p>Note:<\/p>\n<p>[1] R\u2019 Y.I. Chaver in <em>Pitchei<\/em> <em>Chochma<\/em>. R\u2019 Chaver was known to have drawn a lot on Ramchal\u2019s thoughts.<\/p>\n<p>This is purely conjecture, but might the <em>iggulim <\/em>construct then be an element of the <em>Torah of Atzilut<\/em> which the Zohar (predominately in <em>Ra\u2019aya Mehemna <\/em>and <em>Tikkunei Zohar<\/em>; also see Zohar 1, 23a and T.Z. 113a<em>) <\/em>and Ari spoke about (see his <em>Likutei<\/em> <em>Torah<\/em> at the beginning of <em>Breishit<\/em>), which is more sublime than the <em>Torah of Briah<\/em> that we\u2019re privy to now?
